Carlos R. Salazar, Jr., Esq.

Carlos R. Salazar, Jr. is an associate attorney at Richard J. Diaz, P.A. and has been with the firm since 2017. He primarily focuses his practice in the area of general civil litigation, specializing in federal and state tort and contract claims, commercial litigation and tobacco products liability litigation. Carlos has also worked on several appeals and helped craft a federal appellate brief for the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Having great knowledge of Real Estate, as a licensed realtor, Carlos has also afforded exceptional support to real estate cases as well.

In 2018, Carlos completed his undergraduate studies at the Florida International University Honors College and graduated Cum Laude. In 2020, he received his Juris Doctor degree from Florida International University College of Law.

During his law school career, Carlos made numerous appearances on the Dean’s List and competed as a member of FIU’s distinguished trial competition team, earning various awards. Esteemed by his professors, he was nominated for, and was the recipient of, the 2020 Scholarship from the Miami Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. During his educational career, Carlos also served as an intern for the Honorable Thomas J. Rebull in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court.

Born and raised in Miami, Carlos volunteers his time with local Miami high-school mock trial students to prepare them for competition as well as devoting his time to other pro bono opportunities. Carlos is an avid sports enthusiast and a huge fan of the Miami Dolphins. During his off time, Carlos enjoys spending time with his family and attending his weekly flag-football and softball league games.
